The Board of the Nigeria Football Federation Nff has expressed satisfaction with the current preparations of the Super Eagles, for the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup finals. This includes results of the first three pre-World Cup friendlies against Argentina, Poland and Serbia.
At an executive committee meeting of the board in Abuja, Members commended both the Technical Crew and the backroom Staff for their hard work and charged them to put in their best for the FIFA World Cup finals.
The Executive Committee directed the Secretariat to see to travel and other logistics, as well as accommodation arrangements in Russia, for the Nigerian Contingent to the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals.
The Committee heaped encomiums on premium partner AITEO, for fulfilling their obligation as Official Optimum Partner of the NFF for the year 2018, which has enabled the Federation to pay all the coaches.
It also praised the high, moral and financial support of the Government and good people of Akwa Ibom State towards the qualification of the Super Eagles for the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup finals.
The Committee mandated the Chairman, Organizing Committee and the General Secretary to conclude all matters with regards to 2018 FIFA World Cup match tickets for the Nigerian Contingent and other stakeholders.
The Board approved N200m from the sponsorship funds to support the Nigeria National League (NNL), Nigeria Nation-Wide League One (NLO) and the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) until they can be financially strong.
