Cristiano Ronaldo has decided to leave Real Madrid for Juventus

One of the most surprising deals in recent football history is close to completion.
We may be set to enjoy the World Cup quarter-finals but on the same weekend the European transfer market is about to blow up with Cristiano Ronaldo seriously close to joining Juventus.
Any deal between Real Madrid and Juventus is a big one. The fact it includes arguably the greatest goal scorer of all time means it will undoubtedly have seismic repercussions to both clubs and many more.

Cristiano Ronaldo has given his word to Juventus

The main story in Marca on Friday confirms that the deal is close.
If this was ever a ploy by Ronaldo to get a new deal at Real Madrid, well the mouthpiece for Los Blancos believe the deal is almost done.
Marca report that Cristiano Ronaldo has decided to leave Real Madrid due to what he perceives to be a lack of respect from president Florentino Perez.
Ronaldo is upset his release clause at Real Madrid was dropped from 1,000 million euros to 100 million euros.
The Portuguese superstar felt this was a very low amount considering Neymar had changed the face of the transfer market by joining PSG from Barcelona for 222 million euros.

Juventus have been working hard to sign Ronaldo

With Ronaldo unhappy, and publicly showing it after the Champions League final win over Liverpool, Juventus arrived on the scene.
Ronaldo still remembers how his brilliant bicycle kick was applauded by Juventus fans in the Champions League last season.
The former Manchester United number seven is also impressed by the size of the club and also their desire to win the Champions League again.
Crucially, Marca report that Ronaldo has told Juventus he will sign for them.

How Juventus will finance the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo

Whilst Real Madrid make a profit on Ronaldo, Juventus are signing him for a relatively cheap price on the market.
Juventus are set to sell Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea for 60 million euros, which is a large chunk of the fee they will pay for Ronaldo.
Relations between Ronaldo and Juventus owner Andrea Agnelli are already reportedly positive, with the Old Lady president having called the Real Madrid striker 28 times.
According to Marca: “Cristiano was impressed with the treatment and deference of the leader, with the desire shown when recruiting him. He was captivated by Andrea’s respect for his figure, as if Juventus were a humbler club.”

Ronaldo unveiled on Saturday?

Ronaldo will earn a similar salary to what he receives at Real Madrid: 30 million euros net per season.
Having gone on holiday, Ronaldo expects to return and sign for Juventus. This could be cut short by an unveiling on Saturday in Turin, according to reports in Italy.
All that is left now is for the two clubs to agree on a fee with 100 million euro mooted by press in Italy and Spain.
We are on the verge of an enormous transfer…
