swimmer banned for using inhaler.

An American swimmer Amanda Kendall has been banned for three-months after informing the United States Anti-Doping Agency that she used an inhaler containing a prohibited substance.

The 27-year-old, was prescribed an inhaler which contained a banned vilanterol to combat bronchitis.

Kendall had failed to obtain a therapeutic use exemption for the medication because she did not know.

She then declared the use of the inhaler to USADA, who confirmed it included vilanterol.

Kendall will be free to return to swimming from Monda May 14.

her lawyer Robert Chelle said Kendall admitted her  fault for the anti-doping rule violation.
