Sergio Ramos has sent a message of support to Mohamed Salah and insists he did not intend to injure the Liverpool winger.
Salah was forced off after half an hour against Real Madrid in Saturday’s Champions League final after being wrestled to the floor by Ramos.
The Real skipper pulled Salah to the ground long after the ball had gone, with the Egyptian’s body weight – and that of Ramos – landing on his opposite shoulder.
A tearful Salah left the stadium with his arm in a sling amid fears he has dislocated his shoulder, though the Egyptian FA are hopeful he will be fit for the World Cup.
Atter the game, Ramos – who was heavily criticised for his role in the injury – took to social media to defend himself.
