The President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick has rejected the calls for coach Gernot Rohr to include fmr captain and goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama in Super eagles for fifa 2018 World Cup russia.
3-time Afcon champions Nigeria have been having Problem with goalkeeping after first choice Carl Ikeme was diagnosed with acute leukaemia.
Some Nigerians have therefore called on Nff to invite Enyeama who snubbed the eagles in their campaign to Russia World Cup.
Enyeama 35-year-old, who represented Nigeria at the 2002, 2010 and 2014 World Cup finals me, has been with the team B of Lille fc.
For now Rohr has kept faith with young Deportivo La Coruna keeper Francis Uzoho, Enyimba's Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Chippa United safe hands Daniel Akpeyi, for the country’s pre-World Cup friendlies against Poland and Serbia.
Pinnick had said 'This could well be the big break for one of the other goalkeepers but it’s Rohr that has the final say”
He said goalkeeping coach Alloy Agu goes to South Africa to train Akpeyi while Pionetti is in Spain with Uzoho.
