Israeli president, Reuven Rivlin, flew on Ethiopia for an official visit at the request of his Ethiopian counterpart, Mulatu Teshome.
This has been declared a very rare occasion, seen the Israeli President on board a foreign Airlines
flight instead of his country's Special Jets.
Arriving at the Bole International airport in Addis Ababa an excited Rivlin described the trip very pleasant flight … (Ethiopian), they are a very good airline.
President Rivlin is expected to address the Ethio-Israel business forum in the capital Addis Ababa.
He was accompanied by a business delegation led by Shraga Brosh, President of the Manufacturers Association of Israel.
Ethiopia Airlines are the first operators in Africa to take delivery of the Boeing 787-9 dreamliner. The airlines currently fly to over 50 African cities in what is the largest network by a national carrier.
Two major decisions made recently by the carrier include switching fully to digital processes in its operations and also the provision of free Wi-Fi access for travellers using its main hub, the Bole International Airport in the capital Addis Ababa.
They command the lion’s share of the pan-African passenger and cargo network operating the youngest and most modern fleet to 95 international destinations across five continents.
