Nigeria's Moses Simon,has been ruled out the Gernot Rohr's 30-man list shortlisted for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia from June 14.
Simon who plays for Belgian League side, Gent, will not make the trip to London on June 2nd for the friendly against England, the Czech Republic in Austria on June 6 and the World Cup in Russia.
Rohr said in Port Harcourt on Sunday evening after the squad's training at the shell football ground that Simon’s World Cup dreams is over
“It is unfortunate Moses Simon will not be travelling with the team on Tuesday because he is down with an injury,”
“The nature of his injury is such that he won’t be recovering quickly enough to make the World Cup,” he added.
He said Simon injury will take four weeks to heal.
Only 29 players are left in the race to represent Nigeria at the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The Nigeria technical Adviser told the media four more players will be dropped after Monday’s friendly game against DR Congo.
