England v Nigeria Friendly Excites.


The England's 3-Lions versus Nigeria's Super Eagles friendly match in London on the 2nd of June 2018 has began to generate excitement between the two countries.

Ahead of the prestigious international friendly, the President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick and his executives met with the British High Commissioner to Nigeria,  Paul Arkwright who told the Nff chieftains that England is taking the match very serious as preparation towards the FIFA World Cup.

Nff boss Amaju Pinnick said that the two countries have so much in common and believed the match will go a long way in strengthening England-Nigeria relations in several areas.”

The Super Eagles and the Three Lions will lock horns at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday, 2nd June is London.

Both countries have clashed only twice previously at senior level: one competitive match and one friendly.

The friendly was on 16th November 1994, when the Three Lions pipped the Eagles 1-0 at old Wembley Stadium thanks to a first half header by David Platt.

The second time was a group phase tie at the 2002 FIFA World Cup finals in Korea/Japan, which ended goalless 0-0 at the Nagai Stadium in Osaka when the Eagles were under coach Adegboye onigbinde.
