The Minority Members in the Ghanian Parliament have called for a full scale independent investigation by President Nana Akufo-Addo, to establish the extent of fraud and identify personalities involved in the visa scandal to the Gold Coast 2018 games, to forestall future occurrences.
Kobena Woyome a Member Parliament and Ranking Member, Youth, Sports and Culture Committee said that the Minority will also summon the Minister for Youth and Sports to give a full disclosure of the incident including the profiles of deported individuals to Parliament.
He called on the general public especially those directly affected by the deportation to furnish them with details including cost of the visa acquisition to help establish the truth.
Whiles condemning the act which has brought disgrace to the country, he sympathised with the victims who have also been traumatized as a result.
