Caf Confed. Cup & Enyimba


2-time CAF Champions League holders, Nigeria's Enyimba fc of aba have been drawn in the 2018 CAF confederation Cup. In the lucrative group stage, the only  Nigerian clubside left on the continental stage will contend with Mali's DJoliba FC killers of the MFM fc Lagos.

Enyimba, will compete in Group C along with Cote d’Ivoire’s continental debutants, Williamsville and Congo’s CARA.

The draw took place on Saturday by CAF General Secretary, Amr Fahmy and assisted by his Assistant and former Ghana international, Anthony Baffoe.

Group C p pitched together three West African clubs in the contest while Group D also did same for three East African clubs, the Rayon Sports (Rwanda), Young Africans (Tanzania) and Gor Mahia (Kenya).  USM Alger (Algeria) which ousted Nigeria’s Plateau United, is the only non-East African side in the group.

Competing in Group A are two West African neighbours, ASEC Mimosas of Cote D’Ivoire and Aduana of Ghana. They are joined by AS Vita of DR Congo and Raja Club Athletic of Morocco.

Former African champions, ASEC Mimosas (Cote d’Ivoire), Raja Club Athletic (Morocco) and AS Vita (DR Congo) are in Group A, completed by Ghana champions, Aduana Stars.

Group B has RS Berskane (Morocco), Al Masry (Egypt), UD Songo (Mozambique) and the famous El Hilal (Sudan).
