AIPS Trains Young Reporters.

The International Young Sports Reporters Training Camp 2018 organized by the Hong Kong Sports Press Association has started in Nasha.
The 9-day training camp will empower young reporters with professional and journalistic skills, is also on in China and Hong Kong.

As has been the trend, having only Asian countries take part in this camp, it has gone global. Young Reporters from other countries like Columbia, Paraguay, Mongolia, Netherlands, Bahrain and Africa’s football country Ghana are in attendance of this prestigious training camp organised by Hongkong Sports Press Association. Other Participants are from countries and regions including: China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh,and Uganda.

Hong Kong Sports Press Association has hosted the Asian Young Sports Reporters Training Camp since 2015 and received recognition and praise from participants of various Asian countries and regions. “This year, the event has expanded to an international level and continues to provide a platform for young sports reporters to learn, practice and communicate”, says Raymond Chiu, the association Vice President Mr. Pui Kwan Ki, vice-president of Hong Kong Sports Press Association officiated the opening ceremony at the Nasha Marina Club where the Volvo Ocean Race was held in February. Young reporters have also visited the Nasha Golf Club.
 They will attend a rugby training session on day two to equip themselves for their reporting job for the weekend’s Hong Kong Sevens. During the 9-day training camp, veteran journalists will lecture the young reporters and share their experience. Young reporters then can carry out theories into practical reporting life. The training camp also provides a platform for them to exchange culture and improve their professional skills and knowledge.
