NIGERIANS CRACK WORLD RECORDS AT PARALYMPIC WORLD CUP IN DUBAI

Folashade Oluwafeniayo of Nigeria has become the third lifter to set a new world record at the World Para Powerlifting World Cup in Dubai.
On the final day of the events, the Nigerian 32-year-old heaved 146 kilograms to break her previous world record in the women's 82kg class at the Dubai Club For People Of Determination.
The result was one kilogram better than her previous record set in 2017 at the World Championships in Mexico City.
Folashade joins compatriot and Paralympic champion Paul Kehinde on the list of record breakers at the Dubai world cup alongside London 2012 olympic goldmedalist Esther Oyema of Nigeria who also claimed the goldmedal in the women's under-55kg division.Paul Kehinde had lifted 221kg to break the men's under-65kg world record.
He progressed from 200kg to 210kg to 221kg as he won gold.

Another Nigerian Roland Ezuruike also tops the men's under-54kg category.
Jordanian athletes we're also supreme with Omar Sami Hamadeh Qarada, in the under-49kg men's, Mohammad Tarbash, in the under-54kg men's, Abdelkareem Khattab, in the under-80kg men's, and Jamil Elshebli, in the under-107kg men's, all claiming gold medals to ensure their country finished top of the overall medals table alongside Nigeria.
